Facilities
Located in Smithtown, New York, Ivy League sits on sixteen tranquil, landscaped acres of land. Classroom structures are clustered along rustic tree-lined paths where every season offers a fresh vista. Equipped with 21st Century curriculum, resources and texts that have gone beyond mastery of traditional academics, each classroom is a busy hub of academic activity. Small class size allows teachers and teacher assistants to provide students with the best in personal attention and educational opportunities.
All elementary and middle school classrooms are equipped with interactive smart boards which extend the computer’s desktop to a wall mounted whiteboard with touch screen capability. Additionally, a state-of-the-art technology center provides students with opportunities to pursue their own research, create Power Point presentations and practice computer skills. Beginning with pre-kindergarten, there is computer access in every classroom, and technology is fully integrated into every aspect of the curriculum.
Ivy League’s outdoor facilities include excellent athletic fields, a sky bounce and a rock wall. Pre-school students have endless fun as they develop their fine and gross motor skills on two well-equipped playgrounds and an intriguing tree house. In spring and fall, weather permitting, all elementary school children swim in one of our beautiful outdoor heated pools.
In colder weather, a large well-equipped gym becomes the center for physical education and several after school activities. With the magic of lights, a full-sized screen, and a professional stage, this space is also transformed into a performance center for assemblies, school-wide special events, and celebrations. An art and ceramics studio, music studio, and soon to be built science laboratory provide and will soon provide the settings for artistic pursuits and scientific discovery.
