Voyagers

Voyagers is designed for campers who want to accelerate their progress or who would benefit from some extra confidence building before entering kindergarten. Typically, kids lose the equivalent of two to three months of learning over the summer months when they do not participate in educational activities? Researchers call this phenomenon “Summer Slide.” As both a school and camp, we understand the implications of learning losses and your concerns as parents. Each morning, campers are immersed in theme-based learning and literacy experiences which have been shown to interest young children like space, earth science, sea life, the human organism, and the physics of liquids, solids and gases. There is a lot of technology involved through interactive Smart Board Technology and hands-on project learning to keep young campers’ minds keen and sharp during the summer months. In the afternoon, and for special days and events, campers re-joined their group for lunch and afternoon swim, sports and arts.
